Paper Submission

SMILE2023 offers two options for paper submissions and publications at the same registration rate: Full papers are reviewed for presentation at the conference as well as for publication in the conference proceedings (Whether the reviewed paper will be presented or published depends on the authors), and abstracts(only) will be reviewed for presentation at the conference without publishing in the conference proceedings. Please read the following note when submitting your contribution.(切换中文)

1. Please follow the SMILE 2023 Template to prepare your paper for submission. We strongly recommend that all paper authors include their affiliation and e-mail address in their manuscript. Your e-mail addresses (also published in papers) will be used by Springer Nature to provide you with a free copy of the eBook. In addition, all authors will be offered a 40% discount on any eBook or print book order from Springer web shop.

2. All papers must be written in English and should describe original and unpublished work. The length of the paper is limited to a maximum of 6 pages. For extra pages will be charged.

3. Please submit your contribution via the following email: liushimei@tju.edu.cn.

Please indicate "Paper submission" in the email subject line, provide (a) the paper title, (b) the names, affiliations and emails of all authors, marking the Corresponding Author and his or her email, and (c)for full papers, please indicate your submission will be only for presentation if you have no intention of publication in the email body.

4. For full papers reviewed for publication, please download Contributor Agreementin conference website by yourself, complete the form and submit the scanned version along with the final manuscript to email: liushimei@tju.edu.cn.

5.Using 3rd Party Materials. The authors should obtain permission to use third-party material in the manuscript by visiting the Rights Holder website or Copyright Clearance Center Marketplace. If the material is not found, please exert your best efforts to use Permissions Request Form and/or Release Request Form (to obtain permission from interviewees or other identifiable individuals or the owners of identifiable property in source material) for your request. If the rights-holder issues their own form, please ensure that the document they provide includes all Required Rights listed in the ‘Guide to Obtaining Permissions’ section in Springer Nature Third Party Permissions Guidelines. Publication

Proceedings of full papers will be published by Springer in book series of Lecture Notes in Mechanical Engineering and delivered for EI indexing. Extended version of selected papers will be recommended for possible publications in special issues of SCI journals.
